Client / filers may enter their own information to the BOI platform - you may simply send an invite to a new user, and they may self register from your branded BOI homepage.
Alternatively, you may choose to import some, or lots of client data. Create a CSV file with at least Company Name and EIN# - more fields are permitted but not required. It is recommended to also include First Name, Last Name and E-mail in your import file.
Your file may be in any order you choose! Spending a little time on your import file, will be well worth the effort because you are making it that much quicker and easier for your clients.
There is no prescribed file layout or required column order - you may simply map your columns into the platform. See below links for sample template files.
***If you are uploading email addresses, you must also upload a first and last name associated with each email***
***When your file includes more than one beneficial owner for a given reporting company, be sure to use multiple rows for the reporting company - this will allow you to properly add multiple beneficial owners***
***In the Country field, when using the United States / USA - you must use "United States of America" in your data import file***
When your CSV file is ready - navigate to Data Import - and then select Drop CSV file here to upload - see below image. Be sure to map your columns with the drop downs - and if your file contains column titles/headers - be sure to skip top row.
